Arlis Groves, a social science teacher at Toby Johnson Middle School, has been selected to attend the 2013 Summer Fellowship in Korean Studies for American Educators, sponsored by the Korea Society in partnership with the Korea Foundation and the Freeman Foundation.
Groves will participate in a 12-day, expenses-paid study tour of Korea during which fellows will visit a high school, museums and sites of historical and cultural interest. Lectures on Korean history, culture, politics, economics, arts and language will be provided by university faculty. The fellowship, which runs from June 26 to July 7, is open to middle and high school social studies and world history teachers.
