On Thursday, May 9, Cosumnes Oaks High School and Elizabeth Pinkerton Middle School will open their doors to the public to showcase their visual and performing arts programs with their annual Arts Alive! event.  This year, Arts Alive! will expand from the Cosumnes Oaks High School Performing Arts Center and Black Box Theater to include displays in the library, art quad and school’s newest facility, the rHouse.

The annual Arts Alive! event will feature projects and performances from the following departments: art, ceramics, dance, graphic design, instrumental music, vocal music, photography and theater.

Drytown Club, Amador County -- Lightning Boy Kory Gibbs belts out Slim Harpo's "King Bee " with his band Saturday, 4-20-13, at the Drytown Club. Baby Boomers know The Stones and Blues Brothers also adapted "King Bee" to their genre of blues.

If only John Belushi could hear Lightning Boy's riffs. Maybe The Stones will hear him on their upcoming tour, possibly dubbed "This May (Really) Be The Last Time." Tick-Tock, Mick.
