12th Annual Middle Stage Fest returns to Samuel Jackman Middle School

Dim the lights and open the curtain!

Samuel Jackman Middle School will host the 12th Annual Middle Stage Fest, sponsored by the California Educational Theatre Association (CETA), from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 9.  Students from three Elk Grove Unified middle schools – Samuel Jackman, Toby Johnson and T.R. Smedberg – will join approximately 300 students from 11 additional middle schools from throughout California, from as far south as Santa Cruz and as far north as Placer County, for the annual theatre competition.

Sacramento Museum Day This Saturday, 2/2!

A record 30 Sacramento area museums will offer free or half-priced admission all day on Saturday, February 2, 2013, during the 15th Annual Sacramento Museum Day.  Twenty-eight of the 30 museums will offer free admission whereas two destinations located in residential areas – the Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town – will offer half-priced admission to offset parking control and security costs.  With assistance provided by the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau, this hugely popular community event is presented by the Sacramento Association of Museums (SAM) and proudly supported by Umpqua Bank and Chipotle Mexican Grill.  Sacramento Museum Day event hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bring the entire family to this spring concert entitled "Musician’s Choice!" at the Crowne Plaza Sacramento Northeast.
