Join us for a fun event to mark Library Card Signup Month

Going Places with the Library!

Please join us for the second annual Big Wheels at the Franklin Community Library on Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will have over two dozen vehicles of all shapes and sizes for kids of all ages.

Last year’s event drew people from all over Sacramento County to the Library’s spacious 60,000-square-foot parking lot for a day of festivities. In fact, it was so successful we are doing it again.

Access Sacramento‘s primary mission, vision and intentions for the next 12 months will remain essentially unchanged this year based on the Board of Director’s planning retreat last weekend.

A variety of work groups and standing committees were tasked with monitoring and acting on five strategic directions that were created during an extensive planning process last year.

Todd Morgan "Great Balls of Fire!"

Elk Grove, CA -- Todd Morgan kicks it at "A Musical History of the Blues" with his performance of Jerry Lee Lewis's "Great Balls of Fire." This 22-year-old Carmichael artist is also the show's Musical Director who plays around town with his band, the Emblems.

Featuring local musicians playing our favorite blues songs -- starting at the beginning of this genre through today -- this concert is sponsored by the City of Elk Grove with FREE admission for everyone! Lightning Boy Kory Gibbs -- the talented teen from Amador County -- is featured performing a Stevie Ray Vaughan blues classic. Comedy Under the Stars Series Headlines  Cash Levy on July 12

The Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) and Sacramento’s Laughs Unlimited take it outside again for the annual Comedy Under the Stars series on Friday, July 12, at Laguna Town Hall (3020 Renwick Avenue).

CSD’s popular Comedy Under the Stars series is in its second of three special outdoor comedy shows.  On July 12 Cash Levy headlines and the show will feature Tristan Johnson with host, Dylan Cole.

Cash Levy has made his mark all over the world with his comedy act by performing for U.S. troops from Afghanistan to Singapore.  He has been seen on Comedy Central, Fox Sports, NBC, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS), Comics Unleashed, Comedy TV and the Hollywood Improv.
