Plans Announced for Elk Grove’s Ice Rink at Old Town | Business
Ice Rink to Promote Local Shopping and Dining During Holiday Season
Elk Grove, CA – This year, the City of Elk Grove will offer the first-ever seasonal ice rink in Old Town Elk Grove.
Elk Grove’s Ice Rink at Old Town will open Nov. 22 and will offer a memorable experience of ice skating, shopping and dining in the heart of Elk Grove.
The seasonal ice rink will be located near the corner of Elk Grove Blvd. and Railroad Street, and will open beginning Thanksgiving Day and run through Jan. 21. The rink will be open every day, excluding Christmas, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and will stay open until 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Admission includes skate rentals and is $11 for adults, $9.50 for children 17 and under, and $9 for military and seniors over the age of 55. For groups of ten or more, admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children.
Mobile food trucks will offer a variety of dining and beverage options every day during the lunchtime and dinnertime hours. The FoodMob (Sacramento’s Mobile Food) will schedule two trucks during meal times and another truck during the afternoon to sell snacks and hot chocolate.
The City of Elk Grove will offer special transit service on nights and weekends and will serve Elk Grove’s Ice Rink at Old Town at the School Street bus stop. General transit information and routes will be posted to www.elkgrovecity.org/icerink. Transit staff will also provide updates through Riders’ Alerts throughout the holiday season.
Free parking will be available at designated sites adjacent to the skating rink on Railroad Street.
