Children's fitness center opens in Elk Grove | Business

Celebrate the grand opening of My Temple of Wellness, a children's wellness/kids fitness studio in Elk Grove on Feb 2. The husband and wife founders (Manuel Dizon & Fridaleen Lou-Dizon) have four children (ages 14, 10, 7 and 4) who have benefitted from these activities. As a non-competitive, no contact facility: My Temple of Wellness will offer Yoga for toddlers, kids and teens, Strength and Conditioning (pre-football workout), Muay Thai and Kickboxing strategies (starting from 6 years old thru –teens).

These activities will encourage children/teens to explore and discover the mind and body in a physical, stress free, healthy, fun-filled way. Kids will improve concentration and focus, stimulate their imagination and help to release energy in a fun, safe environment. Using interactive games and animated postures, drills used in sports this will promote inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem; a feeling of well-being and respect for others; and, love for one's self, inside and out.

We feel these are a good combination of services because as a family becomes interested in one aspect of a healthier lifestyle, it naturally leads to interest in other phases, and we feel the components we offer are part of a larger healthy lifestyle continuum. Health is a lifestyle that should start at an early age.

My Temple of Wellness is grateful to offer these classes as a way to make a difference in the lives of the many families in our community. When you come to My Temple of Wellness expect to feel nurtured, inspired, and rejuvenated. The wellness/fitness studio reaches out to families by actively participating in improving the quality of life, promoting well-being in our children and community.
