Project Love is busy with the holidays | Community
Project Love has been busy with the holidays. On Thanksgiving, several Project Love volunteers helped serve a Thanksgiving meal to the homeless and needy. It had a great turnout and fed many people. Project Love continues to provide meals, clothing, haircuts or showers to anyone who needs it.
We provide these sevices every Friday at 6 p.m. at the Luthern church on E steet in Galt, except for the last Saturday of the month, when our event is held at the Methodist church on C Street in Galt at 5 p.m. The ladies of the Methodist church provide the meal on that Saturday. Thank you ladies you are doing a wonderful job!
Project Love will be in the Christmas Parade this Saturday December 1, 2012 in Galt. The parade starts at the Galt flea market. Anyone wanting to help decorate the trailer with lights is welcome to help and ride along too. You must be at the trailer by 6:00 p.m. to be in the parade. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Come out and see us and start a new family tradition. On Sunday December 9,2012 from 1-4 pm at the Littleton Center
- The community of Galt is hosting its second annual Helping Hands Christmas Dinner. We will help serve a traditional turkey dinner, with music, fun and festivities. Project Love will be on hand to provide services to those in need. Organizers are seeking food donations and help on the day of the event. This dinner is open to all those in need in our community, and delivery is available to those who can’t make the trip into town.
We are also in need of turkeys to be donated for this event, if you would like to donate or help with this event give us a call at (209)263-0626 or Facebook us a message.
