2 women arrested following appliance heist | Crime

SACRAMENTO, CA - Two women were arrested around 9:26 a.m. on Thursday following a theft of a washing machine and refrigerator from a home on the 5900 block of Sawyer Circle.

Sacramento Police Department Sgt. Andrew Pettit said officers were called to the area by the landlord of the property who reported his home had been burglarized. Officers arrived and upon interviewing witnesses, discovered that two women had been seen wheeling the refrigerator and washer from the vacant home to their own property down the street.

Officers then contacted Regina Burns, 26, and Genesis White, 30, at their home, located the stolen property, and arrested the two women for burglary, said Pettit.
