Man arrested for suspected DUI in Elk Grove | Crime

ELK GROVE, CA - Elk Grove police took a man into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence after receiving a call the man was driving erratically.

According to Officer Chris Trim, a dark-colored, older model Ford Thunderbird was reported being driving erratically, including going up over a median, on westbound Laguna Boulevard. The time was 11:29 a.m. 

Police tried to pull over the driver but he didn't comply, Trim said. Instead, the man led patrol units on a slow-speed pursuit that ended when officers deployed a PIT maneuver to stop the car on Laguna Boulevard near Interstate 5.

No one was hurt.

The 37-year-old driver was being evaluated for being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Trim said.
