ELK GROVE, CA - A woman's car was stolen at gunpoint in the Elk Grove Commons shopping center parking Monday afternoon.

The woman was near her car on the 9600 block of Bruceville Road when she was approached by a man in his 20s around noon, Elk Grove police Officer Chris Trim said. The woman said the man threatened her with a handgun then took her car.

The car is a 2002 maroon Mitsubishi Galant, with California License Plate 5EEW575. The car has a dent on the right rear along with a "Baby on Board" placard in the rear window.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man 6'1", weighing 250 pounds with brown eyes and long hair in a ponytail; he was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt, white collared t-shirt, blue denim pants and white shoes.
