Taylor Morrison decks the halls at Madeira East

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (November 18, 2014) – Taylor Morrison Northern California is hosting their first annual holiday decorating challenge at their three Madeira East communities in Elk Grove. Taylor Morrison has teamed up with several of their local partners and challenged them to decorate one of the six model homes, as well as the community’s tot lot, in a unique holiday theme. Beginning November 24, visitors will have the opportunity to tour and vote for their favorite theme and charity. The design that receives the most votes through December 31 will receive a $1,000 cash donation to the winning team’s selected charity of choice.

Join the celebration during the official kickoff weekend on Saturday, December 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy festive home tours, sweet treats, and a live radio remote from KDND from noon to 2 p.m.

Railroad museum to debut new exhibit titled 'See That Lonesome Whistle Blow'!

 

California State Parks and the California State Railroad Museum are proud to announce an upcoming new exhibit titled “See That Lonesome Whistle Blow: Mass Market Collectibles With a Railroad Twist” opening Friday, November 21, 2014, in the Museum’s Lobby Gallery. More than 50 steam train-themed mass market items, collectible objects and related artifacts will be on display as part of the new exhibit designed to demonstrate and reflect the widespread nature of railroading in popular American culture.
