Project Love is busy with the holidays

Project Love has been busy with the holidays. On Thanksgiving, several Project Love volunteers helped serve a Thanksgiving meal to the homeless and needy. It had a great turnout and fed many people. Project Love continues to provide meals, clothing, haircuts or showers to anyone who needs it.

We provide these sevices every Friday at 6 p.m. at the Luthern church on E steet in Galt, except for the last Saturday of the month, when our event is held at the Methodist church on C Street in Galt at 5 p.m. The ladies of the Methodist church provide the meal on that Saturday. Thank you ladies you are doing a wonderful job!

In addition to added enforcement, there will also be signs  starting Dec. 3.

SHOP LOCAL: Find participating small businesses in your area

"We see tremendous momentum out there," says Mills, who bought blueberry jam last Small Business Saturday at a farmers market in Brunswick, Mass., and brought it back to her colleagues at work. "This Small Business Saturday has really gone viral."
