Firefighters and Police Partner in 18th Annual Community Toy Drive

Elk Grove, Calif. –The Cosumnes CSD Fire Department will team with local partners to bring Christmas joy to children with a toy drive this holiday season. This will be the 18th Annual Community Toy Drive for the fire departments involved and the Elk Grove Police Department.  The toy drive is a non-profit event aimed at supplying less fortunate families within our community with toys for their children at Christmas.

Locations for drop off will include any Cosumnes CSD Fire Station, the Elk Grove Police Department, Wilton Fire Protection District, Herald Fire Department, Wackford Community & Aquatic Complex, or the CSD Administration Building. These locations will deliver toys to children in the Elk Grove, Herald and Wilton areas. The toy drive accepts donations for all ages including tweens, 9-12 years old, and teens.

Santa is Coming to Neighborhoods with Lights and Sirens

Elk Grove, Calif.  – The annual Santa & Sirens parade is coming to town on three special nights.  The Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) Fire Department and the Elk Grove Police Department are coordinating with Santa Claus himself, December 12-14.  Parades are scheduled to begin at the following fire stations:

  • Station 75 (Laguna West), December 12
  • Station 72 (Franklin), December 13
  • Station 73 (East Elk Grove), December 14

Each parade will begin and end at the listed fire stations.  They will travel the neighborhoods on their scheduled date from 7-9 p.m., weather permitting.
