Food Stamped: Do Something Reel Film Festival

Food Stamped: Do Something Reel Film Festival

Elizabeth Smith

In April we proudly launched the Do Something Reel Film Festival, an online collection of provocative, character-driven films that focus on food, environmental issues and everyday people with a vision of making a world of difference. Simply put, it’s a celebration of people who understand that small steps can create big change. The Do Something Reel Film Festival continues this month with Food Stamped, an educational and humorous documentary following a couple as they attempt to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet on a food stamp budget.

Project Love is spreading the LOVE

Project Love is spreading the LOVE

Project Love attended St. Christopher's Fall Festival in Galt. Ca on September 29th and 30th ,2012.

The trailer was brought in and set up. 175 Turkey legs were smoked. Tons of clothing were hung and folded all by the amazing volunteers. Thank you so much. You ROCK.

The festival was hopping with people. You could feel that GOD was amongt us. All the people were very happy and grateful for the free services we offered. My favorite part was to see the look on the childrens faces when we handed them new school supplies. It was an amazing feeling to be able to put a smile on those children's faces.

Walgreens from Elk Grove was there and gave 43 free flu shots. Project Love had free clothing, school supplies, back packs, canned foods, peanut butter, cereal, showers were taken, a few haircuts were given and 175 Smoked Turkey legs fed hungry people.
