EGUSD’s Student Support and Health Services has been awarded $36,052 from Kaiser Permanente to continue the work under the Student Health Access and Referral Project (SHARP). This is the fourth grant from Kaiser Permanente supporting SHARP, bringing the overall funding support for the project to $149,931.

The goals of the SHARP grant include increasing access to the immunization and dental services required for school attendance; increasing the number of service referrals of children and families who do not have access to health care or do not have a medical home through coordination with the District's Healthy Start Program; and to actively participate as a partner and support the goals set forth in the HEAL Zone Initiative serving the Valley Hi community.

Elk Grove, CA – The City of Elk Grove is hosting the Multicultural Festival on Saturday, August 25 at Elk Grove Regional Park.  

The festival will feature ethnic foods, music, entertainment, fashion shows and activities for kids. 

This day-long festival is Elk Grove’s premier community-wide celebration of diversity, and is hosted by the City of Elk Grove’s Multicultural Committee.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Elk Grove Regional Park located at 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Elk Grove.  Free parking and admission.   Sponsorship opportunities are available.
