Yep, back up on my soap box again...This weeks' challenge is all about HYDRATION.

Living where we do, it is almost impossible to forget to drink water in the summer.  Those triple digit days make it pretty easy to remember our water bottles when we leave the house, and all that sweating reminds us we need to restore our body's balance.

In the winter...well, the winter is a different story.  In the winter, it feels easier and more intuitive to grab an extra cup of coffee, or snuggle up with hot tea.  And a cold drink of water on a cold morning isn't exactly the first thing I think of grabbing.

Community encouraged to visit Governor’s Mansion before historic treasure closes for renovations

The California State Historic Governor’s Mansion Foundation, in partnership with California State Parks, encourage the community to visit the historic Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park (SHP) in December before it temporarily closes to the public on January 1, 2015, for extensive renovations and rehabilitation efforts.

Throughout the month of December, the Governor’s Mansion SHP is open for guided tours on Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   Plus, on two Saturdays – December 6 and 13 – guests can enjoy the Mansion during the special “Christmas Memories” event that will include elaborate holiday decorations, festive live holiday music, children’s activities, captivating storytellers and docents in period attire sharing holiday-related stories of past governors and their families.   Also, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make special visits to the Mansion to meet excited little ones and be available for holiday photographs.

The number one question coaches hear this time of year at Bootcamp is "Do we have Bootcamp on Thanksgiving?"

The short answer: No, there are no bootcamps scheduled for Thanksgiving Day.

The long answer: No, there are no bootcamps scheduled for Thanksgiving Day BUT you can, and should, still get a workout in!!

This Thanksgiving, treat yourself to the Tough Turkey Express Workout! It will only take a few minutes, and its a great way to start off your holiday weekend.

Its called the Express Workout, and you can do it wherever you are, whenever you want!  As we head into one of the busiest time of the year, it is great to have fast and easy tool to help you keep up your healthy lifestyle.

For a quick workout at home, on vacation, or even in the office, try this circuit (repetitions in parenthesis are for beginner, intermediate and advanced, respectively:

Pushups - box-style, on your knees or on your toes (20, 25, 30)

Dips (20,25,30)
