High School Soccer Season Is Here | Life

The 2012-2013 year has begun for Elk Grove high schools and that means the boys’ soccer teams are  ready to start their season……..Tryouts have been held the last couple of weeks and for the most part the teams are selected so now the push is on to be ready for play which starts before the end of the month…….It also means that the competitive soccer teams have shut things down for the months that high school play takes place and for the FC Elk Grove U19’s the break is all that can cool them off……..They just won their 3rd tournament of the early season by beating Chico 1-0 to capture the Fair Oaks Select Cup at Cherry Island……Coach Rainer and the team probably hate to see the break but it’s time for the boys on the team to play for their respective schools…….There’s a tremendous amount of soccer talent in Elk Grove and now it will be on display at Cosumnes Oaks, Franklin, Elk Grove, Pleasant Grove, Sheldon, Monterey Trail, and Laguna Creek High Schools for the next couple months----check it out.
