Coop For Assembly? | Life

Jim Cooper has been a part of Elk Grove city government since 2000 when Elk Grove first became a city but he’s apparently setting his sights on a new opportunity……….It’s being reported that he has filed papers for a campaign committee for the 9th Assembly District which is currently represented by Richard Pan……Cooper has let it be known in the past that it’s unlikely he would seek more than five terms-----the election he won in November gives him a  term that will last until 2016 which means an assembly run would be mid-term for him………Cooper would not be the first city council member to run for the Assembly-----Sophia Scherman ran unsuccessfully last year.
