Elk Grove Babe Ruth Baseball | Life

Tryouts for Elk Grove Babe Ruth Baseball are complete------they had three of them-----and now the player draft is set for this Saturday..........it means that sometime next week dozens of young men will be getting a phone call from their coach informing them they've been selected to play with that team....what those young men need to know is the commitment that goes into all of this......the players spend a couple hours at the tryout and now they'll spend more than 100 hours practicing and playing baseball but for every hour they put in the men behind the league will be putting in close to twice that......Joe Matien, Rick Venegas, Barbara Steele, Doug Penney,Tom Kilbride, Randy Kennicutt,  Brent Tetlow, Mark Steele, Larry Stone, and Scott Gormley comprise the board and they all have  been working hard to make the 2012 season a success before the first pitch is even thrown........ a big thanks to all of them and best of luck to a great year.
