PHOTOS: 14 escape early morning house fire near Elk Grove | News
SACRAMENTO - Fourteen people managed to escape an early morning house fire on the 10400 block of Calvine Road without injury Thursday morning.
According to Cosumnes Fire Department firefighters at the scene, the fire started in the garage and spread to the home shortly before 3 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they found the home fully involved and began containment and search efforts.
Fourteen people inside the home at the time were able to make it out unharmed, according to firefighters.
Crews extinguished the fire but Calvine Road remained closed in the area through 5:15 a.m.
No information was provided on the cause of the fire.
