GREAT HANG UP: Could keeping cellphones off during school hours lead to a jump in after-school use that could pose danger on roads as students drive home?

Chris Cochran with the California Office of Traffic Safety says their study shows cellphone use and texting in general while driving for drivers 16-25 i s nearly double that from adult drivers and has gone up since last year.
Some student groups say having greater access during the day in common areas could ease the after school crunch.
